When the new iPods came out, Tiffany beseeched her mother to get one for her so that she was not the only one in her class who did not have one.

(Noun) - a great misfortune or disaster
If an earthquake were to occur here it would be a calamity because we wouldn't be expecting it.

b. neccessitate or exact;
The principals compel the students to wear their ID's.

My parents made a concession and allowed me to go to a party, if I didn't use bad language.

Make sure to throw away your trash, because we dont want to defile the earth and make it dirty.

Johnny denounced his sister because she read his diary to the whole senior class, while she gave her speech at the pep rally

noun- a ruler with absolute power and authority
The despot was very unfair with his decisions towards the people of his town.

The herald delivered the declaration of war to the king.

My dad's hindrance toward me driving his car has not been an issue since he trusts me more now that I drive for a living.
